Audrey's 80th Birthday a Huge Success! What a Day!
On Saturday Apr 10th, 2010 Audrey Tournay was surrounded by well wishers and supporters in celebration of her 80th birthday. A good time was had by all. Audrey greeted one and all enjoying their praise and birthday wishes. Those in attendance were treated to a delightful array of sandwiches and baked goods supplied by Rosseau Active Women (RAW) crowned with a beautiful birthday cake and a resounding rendition of Happy Birthday! The crowd was then invited to watch a beautifully prepared poignant slide presentation paying tribute to Audrey, her past, her contributions and the importance of continuing her legacy. Then, the icing on the proverbial cake when a announcement was made that through the generosity and talents of Owen Boris and Ted Eigelshoven, Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary is to realize a dream in the form of a new state of the art facility. The plans for the new building were on display for perusal and Messrs Boris and Eigelshoven were on hand to answer questions. A celebration of the past and an introduction to the future for Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary. What a Day!
